Mrs. Vickie Rewis has been named the 2024 Grand Marshal of the Bacon County High School Homecoming festivities. Mrs. Rewis hails from Nicholls but has proudly called Alma her home for the past 39 years. She and her husband, Carroll, have built a beautiful life together, raising two sons, Klent and Kyle, and doting on their four beloved grandchildren. For the past 18 years, Mrs. Rewis has been a cornerstone of Bacon County High School, serving as the school’s front office secretary. In her role, she expertly manages the daily operations, ensuring that both students and staff stay on track, make it to class when they are supposed to, and use good common sense to solve problems.
Outside of her duties at BCHS, Mrs. Rewis enjoys working in her yard and delving into a good book. However, her greatest joy comes from being with her grandchildren, whether she's cheering them on at their games or driving them to and from practices. She finds her work at BCHS endlessly entertaining, appreciating the lively environment that comes with working with high school students day in and day out. To know her is to love her. Mrs. Rewis’s dedication to her family, her work, and her community makes her a beloved figure and a fitting choice for Grand Marshal.
