I feel privileged to select the next Heart of Service Award recipient. For the past two years, I have had the pleasure of working with this person and have been impressed by their professionalism, dedication to student excellence, and accomplishments. This person has impacted the lives of teachers and students positively. He is easy to talk to and willing to go the extra mile if necessary.
The students feel safe because of the rapport they have built with him. He has come to my rescue many times during my years here at Bacon County. Throughout my 17 years as an educator, this professional has inspired some of our most at-risk students and has elevated his new role to another level. He has excellent character, inspires commitment in others, and is great at connecting with the staff and the students. The heart service awards go to none other than Charlie Powell.
